Update

Hello, World! I'm can't remember when I posted anything lately, so I'll try to give a good update.

At Zachary's 4 month check up he was 13lbs. 5oz. and 23.5" long. He's moved up to the 10th percentile! (And we thought he was getting huge.) He's definately got some chubby going on! A week ago he started laughing! He is a VERY happy baby...smiling and laughing all the time. And talking up a storm! Especially to his "bugs". (Toys that look like bugs.) He still loves the bathtub and car rides.

Adam is seeing results from his workout program. That's encouraging him to keep at it. He's getting up early in the morning to do it before work...that way Sheena can get some needed break and work time in herself after he gets home. Adam is going to start picking up some odd jobs here and there as they are available.

Sheena is in training becoming a Beauty Consultant! This has been very exciting for us as she NEEDS to get out of the house and make new friends. And what better way for the Party Planner to play than to throw parties! (Go figure.)

We are looking forward to Zach's baby dedication at Whipple Creek on Mother's Day! Also, our friends Jon and Carly from Multnomah are visiting us with their beautiful daughter in a couple of weeks!

I (Sheena) was trying to think of something philisophical to add, since I've been thinking very hard lately. There is a lot jumbling around in my head, but pretty much it's mostly superficial right now. SO, if I can verbalize (can you call it verbalizing if you are writing it and not talking?) I will let you know.

Pics at 3 Months

Sorry!

Sorry it's been so long since we've put anything up! It's been a little crazy around here.

At 3 months, Zachary was 11 lbs. 1 oz. Doubled his birth weight in 3 months...pretty good for a little guy! It was sad to see him grow out of clothes, but it was exciting seeing him in some new outfits.

The yellow and white outfit is the same one that Adam wore when he was 2-3 months old. We took pictures for Grandma Rice to see!

2 Months Old

Zachary is now 2 months old! He's just now growing out of his newborn clothes. He went to the doctor and got vaccinations. That night he was having bad dreams about needles poking his legs. :(

At 2 Months:

Weight: 8 lbs. 10 oz.

Height: 21" long

Head: 14 1/2"

It's now February and we are still snowed in. Right now we have about 6' of snow accumulated. There is a winter storm advisory for tonight and the 10 day forecast shows snow every day. It's beautiful, but the constant plowing can get old. That's what you do when you live in the country! :)

Teletubby

This is Zach's Teletubby look.

Let It Snow!

We are getting more snow than I've seen in my life (that I remember and where I live at...meaning, it doesn't include when I've gone skiing). We have apx 4 feet of snow and growing. We will get 18 inches tonight. It's been snowing 4 inches an hour. Adam plowed for 11 hours today. The snow isn't supposed to stop falling until Wednesday or Thursday next week! :)

Below Zero

It is only 11:30 pm and it's already -3 degrees F!!! The moon is so bright it looks like it's dawn.

But that's nothing! Adam went boarding at Hoodoo today. It was -5 with 50+ MPH winds, which brought the wind chill down to about -30. The wind didn't let him go more than 5 MPH down the mountain and blew him over a few times, too.

Adam did feel one thing that wasn't below zero today...his age. It hit him today when he met a 30 year-old man and realized it was only 4 years away! (I don't feel it yet. I'm still 21. Ha ha ha.)

More Vancouver Pics

Mid-January Update

It is the middle of January. Zachary is 6 weeks old and going through a growth spurt. He's eating more frequently and larger amounts...and he's so tired he can't sleep without our help. Sometimes it's cute, but right now it's exhausting. This phase should pass in the next few weeks. (Hopefully!)

Two weekends ago we went to Vancouver. Thank you to everyone who took time out of their schedules to see us! We hope we can visit again soon. Tim's movie was a success. Someone from the Northwest Film Festival came to see it, too!

Adam went snowboarding at Hoodoo today for the first time. He saw his life flash before his eyes a few times...there are five different kinds of black diamond runs there. The first "easy" one he tried had a cliff with a 10 foot drop as part of the run. He took his board off and walked back up the run before he had to make the drop.

Well, the demands of fussy baby are calling...
